Being tested to do one's deeds in a good manner is part of worshipping Allaah

Why the Prophet delayed response when idolaters requested he worship their gods
As-salaamu 3laikum, I am confused about something I heard. I heard that once some polytheists came to the Messenger of Allah, salla Allahu 3laihi wa salam, and said that they would worship Allah alone for one year if he would worship their gods for one year. Christians say number of gardens in Paradise is 'contradictory'

The objects of worship strive be 'nearest' in Quran 17:57
Salaam alaikum, dear shaikh in this verse ALLAH (Almighty) says: Those whom they invoke seek means of access to their Lord, [striving as to] which of them would be nearest, and they hope for His mercy and fear His punishment. Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is ever feared. (Qur'an 17:57) So does this verse "which of them would be nearest" means.. More

Asala-muailykum May Allah bless you all for the wonderful website. I have a question please - when I listen to nazisms or qaseeda's or any Quraan recital on a CD. The six days in which Allaah created the heavens and the earth are not like our days
i just want to know that ALLAH almighty says in Quran that he created the world in 6 days. usually we know that one day is counted when earth moves round on its own circle once. With due respect i ask for the explanation how would we count 6 days before the creation of earth. Allah pardon us.

Pronouncing the name of Allaah with a soft/thin Laam in the Athaan
Assalamualaikum va rahmathullahi va barakaathuhu. Many of our Urudu speaking brothers pronounce "Allah" as though in 'Bismillah'. When they do the Azan or stand as Imam for prayers, we can make out the big difference in pronounciation. I spoke to one of my such friend and I was told that it is OK. I would like to know the ruling on that.
